An Automobile Of Mass 2000 Kg Moving At 20 M/S Is Braked Suddenly With A Constant Braking Force Of 10,000 N. How Far Does The Car Travel Before Stoppi

An automobile of mass 2000 kg moving at 20 m/s is braked suddenly with a constant braking force of 10,000 N. How far does the car travel before stopping?

Acceleration of mass is given by a=F/m

a=10000/2000=5m/s^2

By using equation of motion

V^2=u^2-2as

We have to stop automobile so v=0

0=20*20-2*5*S

400=10S

S=40m
